Been thinking about putting this fixture http://www.bigalsonline.com/Fish_Lighting_LED-Lighting_LED-Double-Bright-Lights.html?tc=fish on my 75 gallon show tank. However, I'm wondering if it would keep my anubias alive? What do you plant guru's think?

don't know about those lights. I have a 48" catalina with 2 54w t8's and two rows of led's. 156 bulbs total. thier site states that the led's equal just over 45w. my light is 8 inches above the water and with just the led's on for 12 hours my floating plants were doing poorly. now I run one of the t8's for 6 hours and the plants are growing great. I realize there a differences in led bulbs and it may work for you. I love the way the led's bring out the blue in my discus, but for plants, they suck.

Was wondering the same about LEDs , i think for Anubias that would be enough to thrive but grow slowly , i had Anubias growing in a nice chain of leaves with a 12 W saving lights 2 times slower then in medium lights , but algae free and no ferts except fish waste

Thanks for the input peeps. I'm not interested in rapid growth just enough for the plants to survive.

I recently build a new setup and man, I spent so much time researching LED's. I settled for T8's that I can easily convert to T5's if needed for more light. I could not figure how much Watts of LEd's I needed, seemed no one could for a freshwater planted.

I think the WPG rule is sorta outdated already, even more so when it comes to LED's. I have seen a couple of very interesting charts that seem to explain it all real well, however, I cant seem to understand them. lol

Low light plants have done the best for me under 70 watt, 6500K MH. I have deep tanks, maybe that's reason, I don't know, but with regular doses of Flourish, the plants do fine where they have failed with other types of lighting. The lights also have great shimmer, which looks great.
