This fish stands out in my tank. Family and friends who have come always make comments on how beautiful it is. Its one of my fav discus in my tank right now... Let me know what you think.

Mom said it was purchased at a place called tongs tropical. Out here where I live in Whittier California. I do not know what strain it is. I never seen another discus like it. Well at least not with the black on the fins. That's what I like most about it.

Lights, and this is probably why my blue fish look so blue. I am usIng my old saltwAter tank t5 set up. I forgot the name of the bulbs and bulb combo i used. But there is two that are called Fiji purple. It use to make my zoanthids and sps pop also..

I was wondering if maybe the fish was dyed or given something to enhance the color?? But I have had it for about 2 weeks. And still looks the same. Very healthy. Eats everything I throw in the tank. Is trying to be the alpha fish in the tank. But my leopard is not having it.

I like to think I am a great dad.
My girls tell me I am all the time. I have gone to tongs in Whittier and they have a couple 6 inch blue diamonds and some other fish but nothing nice. There is a tongs in fountain valley in orange county. They have some nice discus from time to time. This is my first fish from a pet store. I have gotten the rest of my discus from local hobbiest. I also was able to meet an awesome person from simply discus by the name of Melissa. Socaldiscusmomma.
I got about 5 fish from her. She is super awesome and hooked me up!
I love my tank and fish. I wish I could upgrade. I want to get a couple albino red spotted greens from Kenny but my 80 is already full.. Need to upgrade soon
