I've had my discus for 1.5 years now from ~2 inches. And although some hold their fins forward in the "boy posture" & some back along the body in a more "feminine stance", there's only a little aggression & certainly no "action". What's going on? Incest taboo? Just curious...:confused:

could be a number of things. my fish go through stages where they wont breed then they will breed non stop.if you want some fish that breed easily i highly suggest you buy a breeding pair of fish from hans. good number of big healthy eggs.

Thanks, I'm not really in a hurry to try breeding but i wonder if I should be concerned about their lack of interest...

Eddie, at Al's this fall we looked slides of discus & he said he could kinda tell by the ventral fins in an forward "aggressive male posture" vs a more "girlish" ventrals held back along the body...I dunno...that's what I'm asking...

As I read many times before on here. Add the Berry White and dim the lights and see what may happen. Lol. me personally skip the berry white and go with enigma. Its soooooo relaxing and get a nice beat to it and its allllllll goooood ya know.....
