When to go from Tap/RO mix to RO/Tap mix for fry?

Hello friends,

I was wondering when to go from Tap/RO mix to RO/Tap mix for fry?

As explained by several people here that tap is better for fry because of the minerals and then you slowly change to a more RO/Tap of 80/20 later in development. At what size do you recommend the crossover? I picked up some juvies almost 2" (5cm) in size.

I do not keep any of my Discus except breeders in R.O water and then once the eggs hatch I change the water to tap for fry growth.

I'm using nothing but RO water with added minerals. We have such unpredictable well water out of the tap. Using RO water is the only way I can get consistent results. Pairs in very soft water with juvies and older in about 150ppm TDS remineralized water.
