Anyone ever used these new glass heaters with the digital readout? Wondering about the quality. I know for sure the titanium ones are not great. I have had two and both have not lasted so, so far i have not been impressed with Finnex all together. But still curious.

I have been using a 200 watt finnex digital in a 55 for 2 months. So far it is within 1 degree and the digital feature is great.I like the remote sensor,so you can mount it below the heater.I have a finnex 500 remote in my aging tank and a remote controller on 2 eheim 200 watt heaters in a 125 and they are working fine so far.Put it this way,the 2 eheims didn't work a month and one locked on and on the other one the calibration stop won't get within 7 degrees of actual tank temp. My local dealer still has Ebo built jagers in 75 watt on the shelf and is checking to see if he can get me some Ebo 200's.No more Eheim jagers for me.

I have a couple Finnex 300 watt heaters that i am running on a couple tanks and when i check how the displayed temp on the Finnex Heater compares to the temp my Hanna digital thermometer shows it is always spot on or within a degree so i am happy with it so far but only time will tell.

I do like how you can hold the button down for three seconds and shut them off for water changes, they are not light weights they are very hefty built they seem to weigh about twice as much than my Jagers do.

Thanks all for the input. But after such a bad experience with the Remote digital finnex heaters i decided to go with via aqua 350 watt and glad i did. I have two of the smaller ones that i use for supplemental heat and they are two of the only heaters i have not had any problems with. I am knocking on wood as i tyoe this though ;).

These actually look pretty good. I like the fact that they have the 2mm glass thickness like jagers. I'd like to hear more reviews about them.

i have used finnex controllers and heaters and always been happy with the quality. Very durable and consistent. I will be trying a few of these out.

I had 2 Finnex Titanium 300w w/built in controller and with both heaters the controller stuck open at different times, heating the tank to 91.

91 is fine, lol. Maybe not for a constant but nothing to fret.

i received some of these new Finnex heaters 10-300w and 8-100w. look good and sturdy. solid construction and easy to set. Overheat protection with power light, heater on light along with the led readout. Cheap too. got mine from ken's. so far so good.
