Hi,

What symptoms will discus show if they are suffering from ph swings specifically due to not aging well water. Tap is about 7.2 and after 24 hrs with air it is about 7.8.

Thanks,
Leslie

What is the pH in your tank now ? If it's steady near 7.8, and you're ageing your water for 24 hours, after which it gets to around 7.8, you shouldn't have any problem at all. Gradual swings of up to 0.3 or 0.4 are not generally any risk to the fish.

That's fine, going up isn't as bad as going down. It's when you go down and rapidly, that it can cause burns.
