F1's from a heckel cross

This thread started by me is several years old, but it does show the progression from when I crossed a heckel with a brown.

They look good Jerry. The 5th bar tho is typical in Heckel crosses...it's never uniform. Sorry you lost most of them...Bill

Must have really hurt to lose those guys. They were nice. I found the progression very educational.

Even thou the thread is from 2007 I bred the fish in 2003 and took pictures as they developed so I would remember the changes they went through. The problems happened sometime in 2004. I did have one live all the way to the middle of 2009, but I was never able to get it to breed. It was quite upsetting when I lost most of them. I still don't know what they actually came down with.
