Been growing out these melons from past few months.

Very nice! How big were they when you got them? Nice deep red color. What are you feeding them?

Looks nice and red in the picture. Do they look that red in real life? I've noticed that my fire red looks a lot more red in the picture than in real life.

Actually they belong to my friend but were growing in my tank for last few months.


Very nice! How big were they when you got them? Nice deep red color. What are you feeding them?
They were about 1.5 to 2 inches when I got them, having quite a bit of size variation. I feed BHM (with added Astaxanthin) and Tetrabits. They love Al's blackworms too :-)

Yes, they do. They look more beautiful in real compared to pictures, I'm not so good photographer when it comes to fish :-))
I was growing this group of dozen, 10 have turned out to be really nice while couple didnot color per expectations.

Awesome job on growing them out!! Very nice color! I wouldn't mind have some of those in my tank.....
