20% salmon
15% shrimp

Should be alright, might want to add more shrimp or a handul of flake food to help bind it better. Also, add some vitamins. ;)

My guess is it will be fine......next time around add some multivitamins and some paprika for color...drop the peas in favor of steamed or lightly cooked and pureed collard greens or spinach and you'll have a surf and turf mix they could serve in a 5 star discus restaurant. :)

Al...how much Paprika do you add to the mix? I assume this is just for the red coloring? Thanks...Bill

Hi Bill,
I use a couple tablespoons per 5 lbs-10lbs mix... Its for the red pigments..Paprika is a great natural source to bring out the reddish orange in the fish and it doesn't go over board ...It may also act as an attractant.

Yup, I remember at the NADA convention, Hans mentioned he made a batch without paprika and the fish never even looked at the stuff. He thawed it out a bit and added the paprika and the fish went to town!
