75 gallon tanks are Best in my opinion . They are very easy to mantain and are fairly stable as well.

Too small. Need at least a 4 footer in my opinion.

I do prefer a 75 gallon, but I have used a 50 gallon for 7 discus. Daily wc's of at least 50% are best though imo. It must be kept clean.

I think it'd be OK for a group of 5, 4" or larger, with good maintenance & frequent water changing. If there's pairing, it'll get small fast because the pair will want more than half of that space for themselves... You'd definitely be at minimum school and tank size, however...
