Hey Fred do you sell regular/brown BNs? I'm looking for a few non-albinos, does anyone else here on Simply sell?

Anyone know why -most- LFS don't carry bristle nose? Maybe it's just in my area but when I ask, they usually say "we used to, but haven't in a while" or "nope, don't carry those."

It seems they would be better than Hypostomus plecostomus which can grow close to 2 feet and beyond the capability many people who buy them to take care of...

good question, i often ask the same thing. I dont know why since they stay aquarium sized, eat twice as much algae are are way cooler than regular plecos. Maybe its just that plecos are ugly to start with and people dont want a pleco with weird worm looking bristles all over its face???

They grow too slow. Tropical fish farmers want to raise fish that grow fast. Time is money to them, so they don't bother breeding them. That is why they are rare in pet shops. Pet shops that have them, usually get them from local hobbyist breeders.

true I raised them (very slowly!) sold most of them to lfs and they would have to wait for me or other privates to supply them again
