I have a pair of discus (I'm pretty sure) that have spawned a couple of times but have eaten the eggs both times. The last time they spawned was this past Wednesday night. On Friday the eggs are gone. Now this morning, I looked in the tank and there is a new batch of eggs. Is this possible or do I have two females. The spawn from Wednesday was very small at about 40-50 eggs and this spawn has about 100 eggs.

Has anyone had this happen before?

Thanks,

I have a pair laying about every 5 days right now. No success yet but for one wiggler that I saw so at least there male and female. May just take some maturity time.

If they eat the eggs, they lay again quickly ... Mines are every 7 days

Sometimes leaving a "night light" on discourages egg eating. It can be main hood light but likely less stressful to be adjacient ambient lighting.

Best Wishes.
