For the last 2 months the female of my snakeskin pair has been headstanding. This occurred after a spawn and was not accompanied by any bloating or swelling since it began. She continued to eat off the bare bottom tank floor and has not suffered in any other apparent way. Yesterday I decided I needed their tank as another pair looked liked they wanted to spawn in the "community" tank. So I netted all 4 fish to switch tanks putting the headstanding female and her partner in the community tank. Last night she was on her side looking pretty sad in the new environment-today she is swimming around about 95%-100% normally! I have no idea of what happened to "cure" her of the headstanding other than somehow the "rough" handling in netting fixed it. Both tanks are of the same size and barebottomed with water parameters basically the same. Go figure!!!!!!
