RO Waste Water.

I am wondering if the waste waster from an RO Unit can be used in a planted discus tank?

lotts of folks use it for grow out water, should be just fine for planted tanks

Depends on what the GH levels are. Plants need a certain level of GH to thrive, as it contains essential minerals. I'm not sure how much of that is stripped from the waste water. I'm imaging not much, right?

since I'm a heavy user of both the R/O product, and the reject (wastre, in newer terms), my .02 is that it really depends on what all in the way of minerals and chemicals your unit is 'rejecting'-'wasting'.......
