Hi,
I have a pair consisting of female Chequerboard pigeon and male red turk.
I have heard so many people say that crossing a pigeon with non pigeon Is not desirable. I this because the offspring will be peppered?
Cheers,
Matt

yes, you'll likely end up with a peppering issue. not a desirable trait for most...jmo

Will they throw out any pigeon bloods or red Turks? Or will they all just be a miss match of the parents?
Cheers

I think the fry would all be Pigeon Bloods. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the pigeon gene is dominant...?

It depends on the genetics of the PB parent. if it is 100% PB then all of your fry will be PB's. Most will be peppered. If the PB parent is only 50% PB then you will get 50% PB and 50% something else. Probably Red turq. This is not a cross that I would normally recommend.

Thats because a pigeon blood will mate with anything, even a goldfish. LOL
