nice fishes! may I ask if thats tubifex worms that you are feeding? cause mine got sick after eating those. and some of my angelfish also.

i'm feeding Al's Blackworm. All the other flakes i feed them they are like o o o o k k k i'll take it and take forever picking at them. But with Blackworm i only feed at night and they know it, they come swarming at me.

I think they look good and healthy. They're at the point where their shape and colors haven't quite filled in yet so the water and food factor in big until they hit 3 - 4 inch mark. The tank set up is great! Lots of filteration and you kept it bare bottom so maintenace will be easier for you and better for the babies. Best of luck growing them out!

Sweet THank you very much Moon. Being a first time discus owner i love them. I can't wait till they reach their 6-7 inch mark.

How long does it usually take to hit the 3-4 inch mark and the 6-7 inch mark?

Depends on water, what you are feeding them and genetics. Think 4-6 months to hit the 3-4 inch mark

On average a year to a year and a half but water quality, food and genetics will again factor in huge on this question. I've seen some people post 8 or 9 month old discus at 6 inches or better while others have discus that don't get over 5 inches after a 18 months.

Yea i leave the sponge filters in there incase i need a Qt TANK plus for the needed air supply at 86-87 degrees. SO its running a canister and 2 sponge filters. For the added BB. Canister has a pre filter on it so hardly any maintenance.

SIphon poop out and take out 32 gallons of water, put water back in and refill 32 gallon brute takes 40 mins. so fast

Wow. totally missed this thread. Just got back from china and trying to get caught up. I should get you to fly down here and take picture for me! Great job! And love the color developing on those Turq's. For some reason they look almost like red turq's in your photo's but they are out of Blue Turq pairs. I kept some to growout from the same spawn, and mine aren't showing any of the red you have at all. If you take good care of these they will grow super fast. Mine are already at the 3" mark (just about) I'm thinking they put on another inch within the month. The Snakeskin's will grow a little slower than the Turq's. You're going to need a bigger tank soon! LOL
