OK folks,

I have been getting my variety stock going here. I can't afford to spend the cash on pairs which I would love so I have been getting some quality youngsters to raise. Here is what I have so far; Pigeons, Tangerines, Blue diamonds, White diamonds and scribbled blues/red turks. I would love to find about 3 yellows. I might not get a pair out of 3 but I will deal with that when they get older because by then I'll have a few pairs going to help fund this exciting adventure. I saw some on Aquabid this last weekend that I should have gotten from Texas but I'm not real keen on the shipping thing. Besides, if I can find them within driving distance then I can afford to get 2 more for what the shipping costs. I prefer a bright solid yellow, the brighter the better, with a nice shape. Is there anyone who has this within driving distance of Cincinnati Ohio?

Thanks for your help
...Scott

Scott, Mike Beals of Central Ohio Discus usually has some but he's out right now. I probably shouldn't tell you because this is the second month in a row they sold out before I could get up there :P

He sells them for under $40. He's a sponsor here.

Also the yellows you saw on Aquabid are also sold by a sponsor here...

I was checking those out too...

They both have websites but I've done 90% of the leg work I'm sure you can manage the rest ;)

Where did you get all your stock? I'm guessing you got the Tangerines from Sonny?

I got the tangerines and turks from Sonny and the rest came from Kraig Koontz in Lexington. I already spoke with Mike Beals about his yellows that were already on hold for Bill Deem. Now I'm trying to talk Bill into cutting loose of a few for me. All I want is just three :(

OMG that is a gorgeous yellow. It's also way out of my price range :( I'll be like you with my wish list going.

I would recommend more than 3 because I really want you to succeed that way I have someone I can buy some yellows from ;)

LOL, I totally forgot we've had this conversation before :P

We'll have to trade stock once we both get these things to produce fry...:)

Although I think I still have 6 months to go...
