This has nothing to do with Discus, but I know some of us like this stuff.

Is there any value to expired Levamisole Hydrochloride? I have a bunch that expired 12/09. I was thinking about maybe worming a few African fish.

I also could use Flubendazole, I suppose, but Leva should be better for these fish, I think. Unless of course I should be throwing this stuff out.

I know sometimes expiration dates are just there to make you buy more, but I don't know the chemistry here.

I'd use it. JMO, though.

Well, on a lighter note, some surmise that the tough availability nowdays is due to the use by homegrown chemists to fluff out their cocaine,so..maybe you can sell it on Ebay to some needy, underworld thug for the price of some new stuff from a fish wholesaler!....

Interesting. So tetracycline is one to watch, but there's really no harm in trying with most others. Good to know.

I suspect that even if some drugs lose potency, there's nothing bad that can happen (other than assuming that it's good if it's not). I just wouldn't want to worry that some reaction happened over time that instead made a drug harmful. Of course, if that was the case I'm sure they'd be more stern in their warnings about it...
