View Full Version : Ratios for medications in food, would like to make sure I'm correct and get some info

I’ve read that it is better to medicate while the fish are eating if at all possible. I’ve read what I can using the search engine and the info on the Medicine Cabinet here on SD. I've also searched the web but the information is inconsistent and would like to get feedback from a trusted source.

I hoping for obvious reasons I could get some of the more experienced folks here to validate what I’ve found and if possible add any that I may not have thought of during my research. I use FBW, defrost and mix the medication then re-freeze (after an hour or two of soaking). I couldn’t find the correct amount in grams or tsp measurements but would like to add this information to my notebook.

Any help or additions to the list would be appreciated.

Fenbendazole/Pancur - 1 gram per 4 ounces of food
Metronidazole, Metro – 1 gram to 100 grams of food
Vermisol (Levamisole) Powder - ?
Piperazine – ¼ tsp to 3 ounces of food

Thanks!
