Blue Diamond Female and White Male with eggs

Ok I wasn't ready for this. These two are toooo young. I didn't catch them laying but saw what they did on the piece of wood. Sorry the picture is not very good. My question is I was told that once they lay eggs they will no longer grow. This is a 4.5" blue and 3.5" white. I'm not happy if she will stop growing now. This is in a 45 gallon display tank that I was growing these guys in. There are 4 blue diamonds and 2 whites. The eggs of course are obviously not fertilized as they are turning white pretty quick. Dang kids! Ya just gotta watch their every move. And by the way, what would I get with that cross anyway?
