Took all gravel from my planted 29 out and went bb with one hydro 5 and two HOB filters. Eheim 100w and will out in a amazon sword in Terracotta? Pot. Sound like the right layout anything different ??

Sounds good! I actually had to DIY a planter for my amazon and found that I like it a lot better than a clay pot. I used the foot from a pair of new pantyhose, put plain dirt in the bottom (about 2 inches worth), added a root tab, then topped it with small gravel (again, about 2 inches of it).

Once that was done I squished the roots of the sword deeply into the soil and tied the neck of the pantyhose around the base of the sword to hold it all together. I now have a "squishy" pot. I can shape it to best sit on the bottom of the tank, my discus can't tip it over, and bonus: It's EASY to lift out, rinse off debris from the pantyhose and place back into the tank. With the clay pots you still get a lot of detritus that settles into the gravel on top of them and the soil underneath doesn't get great aeration so it tends to get very foul after sitting in the tank for several months. With my new squishy pot even the soil gets good aeration through the pantyhose material.

So far the plant is thriving and growing really well!

One sponge filter should be enough for a 29, which is really only good for discus fry, and not for long term at that.

Haha I'm trying and getting the hang of it. Will my tank be large enough to grow out 6 juvies?? Should be right? I will feed 5x a day and do 50% wc everyday with ages water.

Good deal ... and I still have some particles of the Eco complete at bottom and in water column due to all the moving of things. Would this affect juvies?
