Ive been into discus little over 1 1/2 years now. Ive always used acid/alkaline buffers, never tried the discus buffer. I was wondering if it is good to use and if so what situation is it good for(breeding, grow-out, community tanks)?

yea i normally mix a little bit of hot tap water(dechlorinated) w/ my cooler r/o water to equalize the temp and ph. but i gotta get my water from the pet store so sometimes im stuck without any, i will then use straight tap water with prime chlorine drops and a little bit acid buffer. Is tap water w/ acid buffer safe for raising fry?

Good clean water is the key - I run a 80/20 mix of RO and tap water in my storage tank - run the mix through activated carbon with areation and heat to tank temp for two days - I add no buffers - or any other additives to storage or display tank
