Hi, guys well i have 2 pairs of disus laying eggs so might as well try to see if I can raise any of them.

The eggs turn white with in 2 - 4 days although I have seen some free swimmers but I would like to raise the percentage of frys that hatch.

Also i notice that some of them have some sort of white fungus. how can i control this...

Finally if you all dont mind me asking what are the best parameters for eggs? like ph? temp? hardness? and so on or tip/tricks to achieve better results.

Thank You all.

Hey Flyer,

Well it appears if you got wigglers...you have a breeding pair.
Your hatch rate will increase with a hardness of in and around 70ppm. Temp. around 84F and don't mess with your ph.
The fungus issue is mainly caused by the non fertile eggs which spreads into fluff. This can be helped by adding Methylene Blue after spawning is complete.
We don't know how old your pair is and what filters and tank size you are using.
- Pair could be still young.
- To much current from filter.

flyer1988,

What are you feeding to condition your pair? I would recommend a good beef heart/Shrimp mix (supplemented with vitamins), FD Blackworms and some Ocean Nutrition Formula One Pellets.
