Most of the responses to this thread talked about more water changes, 80%... and very often.
How do you age this much water for the amount of changes?
I have a 55 gal barrel and with aging 3 days, I would never have this amount of water for my 55 gal aq.
Just wondering, what are you using to have this volumn of water?

What responses? How much water do you need? Why are you ageing 3 days? I would think a 55 gallon barrel would be enough water for a 55 gallon aquarium. You only need to age as long as it takes for your water to gas off carbon dioxide - when the ph stops rising.
You started a new thread instead of replying to the 1 started by hillmar78. You may want to ask it there so people have a point of refrence.

Most tap water ph levels become stable within 24 hrs so a 55 gal barrel should be plenty.

I'm lucky enough that I don't need to age my water at all, just add it straight to the tank after I add Seachem Safe.

Thank you all, I just thought you needed to age water 3 days.
