I bought some duckweed and water lettuce from my lfs yesterday but the water lettuce was huggeee. It sticks out of the surface of the water about 6-8 inches. Does anybody know any other floating plants for use in biotope that arent as big?? Thanks guys

None that I'm aware of that looks good, and doesn't grow above the water line.

Yes, they get pretty big. They also like good lighting. I have water lettuce in my 240 gal. under two 70 watt metal halide lights. They grow great there, and produce many daughter plants. I put some of them in my 150gal. with fluorescent lighting, and they started melting away after 2 days.

That's exactly what I'm looking for, where can you buy it and how much light does it require?? I've only got a 16w marineland double bright led strip.
