What is the proper Ph for discus I have 6 discus maybe 5" IN a 90 gallon tank the ph is 5.8 should it be 6.5 using r/o di thank's for any help you can give me.

what ever is the ph coming out of the tap. unless you are breeding them don't mess with the ph.

In the general case, I believe that to be true. It's definitely been my experience with Denver water. I don't mess with it, and my discus thrive. There are probably hobbyists out there whose water parameters are so far out in the weeds that their discus benefit from blending RO into local tap water, but they're a small and unfortunate minority.

Yep, always better to use the pH you have instead of "chasing the dragon". That is, always trying to have the perfect pH, but can never keep it stable.

Yep - discus can readily handle pretty much any pH from 5.5 to 8.5, so long as there is no drastic, rapid change in the range of whatever pH your fish are kept at.
