Just got these in last thursday from Kenny, and already they are down to business. Just one quick picture, young pair so I am trying not to bother them too much. They never made it out of the quarantine tank, which happens to be an older hex tank with green glass, so I apologize for the bad picture.

Over the course of several hours I was trying to slowly move the cone forward and rotate it to make the fry visible. Well, finally they had enough and decided to move them to the sponge filter.

So far they are looking like really good parents. Take turns guarding the eggs, (sorry thats why dad is out of the picture). Not a huge batch of fry, but not to small either, guessing around 100. Good hatch rate though, over 90%, so dad got his job done.

Wow!!!!. Kenny does it again, of course a lot credit go to you too. Is not only to start with quality but to groom the fish too.
Please keep us updated . You know people will be asking you when the fry will be available.

Congrats! great looking fish. Put me down for some fry when they are ready. Since you are so close I would be able to pick up. First time I have had such quality fish so close. It would give me a chance to meet you also.

Bill,
Sounds like a plan ;) , alot of hurdles to clear yet with this pair, but at least they are now confirmed and appear eager. Perhaps we could do a little horse swapping?

Thanks Vera! The males pattern is not quite as full. The pictures don't do the female justice, she is a much more brilliant red. The color gets lost in the green tinted glass.

Just a quick update, we do have attachment. I was a bit worried for awhile, this particular batch took much longer to go free swimming then anyothers I have had to date. Not sure if that has anything to do with the strain, or the fact the parents were both incredibly focused on keeping the fry on the sponge.
