How big does a Discus have to be to be considered an "Adult"?

I believe it is more dependent on the age of the fish than the size. Discus genetics play a large part in their ultimate size. Care, feeding, water quality, mineral content etc also contribute greatly to the size of a fish. You could have a 3.5 inch 2 year old adult discus that is stunted - or you could have a 6.5 inch 2 year old discus. From what I've read, you won't see much growth, besides filling out, with a fish over 15 months. This varies, of course.

I would consider an adult to be over 1 year old.

Hmmm, I have an 8-month old who's starting to "shake his booty . . ." He must be a hyper-hormonal teenager! lol.
