Aquaclear 70 HOB kinda weak......better off getting those Aquaclear 110.....Ken(kenfish.com) is a sponsor here and got a huge selection of filters.

Yeah, it's possible to adjust flow on those too... although if I can pick up a smaller AC filter USED for cheap I probably would. Sometimes it's more a physical footprint that performance that people want the smaller filter (if not the cost).

For instance, I can't put an AC110 on the 75G in my living room otherwise I would have to pull the tank out another 2 inches (which I don't want to do), so I use a Whisper 60 HOB.

But all things considered equal, I would go with the AC110 for performance and adjust the flow if you have a smaller tank (i.e. 20-30G)...

Hi Eric....what kind of 75 gallons you're using(All Glass/Perfecto)?.....for 75 gallon tanks just two AC 100 and water is crystal clear.

I'm not talking about the tank itself... it's the livingroom.. I would have to pull the tank/stand out two inches to accommodate it. Which means more floor space on the livingroom and an unsightly gap from the side.

I use a Whisper HOB and a Fluval 405 underneath to compensate. Although I'm moving the tank downstairs and re-arranging the livingroom soon to accommondate a 125G (which I will probably use two AC110s).

Ebay has new AC 110's for 62.99 and free shipping - good deal?

It's a good deal but I would prefer to pay $61.25 on Amazon (reputable dealer and slightly cheaper).

I bought two a couple of months ago from Jack's. Tehy had buy one get one free. Worked out to be like $50 each :)

Hey Skip......believe me.....add one more AC 110......no need for sponge filter.....I also use 2 AC 100 for 55 gallons tanks too.......cannot afford canister filters lol.

One 110 and two hydro IIIs is all I use and I really do believe that is more than plenty.
