I have 3 "pair" of discus. 2 Blue Diamond that the "male" eats the eggs as soon as they come out and a Pigeon Blood pair that usually eat the eggs after about 12 hours or so. I found "gutter guard" and made cone covers for all three. The Pigeon Bloods spawned like clockwork in 7 days. I placed the mesh over the eggs and figured at least this way I'll know if they are a real pair or a couple of females. I'll be darned if I didn't just take a look and all the eggs are gone. I guess they hit the mesh hard enough that they were able to eat the eggs.
