help with switching diets

Hi all!

so i just got some new discus fish and they're about 2 inches long. the fish store i bought them from only feeds them frozen bloodworms. as i do not have the money to feed them frozen bloodworms the rest of their lives, i want to switch them over to flake food. (they'll still get the frozen bloodworms every now and then) does anyone know or have any advice as to how i can get them to accept flake food? or should i switch them from bloodworms to flakes when they get bigger?

From what I read around here, the usual methods are to mix it with the food that they like so that they get used to the taste, tapering off the food they like over time, and to starve them for a day or two so that they will eat whatever you give them.

ps.. bloodworms is like candy for discus.. they love.. but not much nutrition
