At what age the discus stops growing?

Depends if they are stunted or not

That is a topic of huge debate. Some say they never stop growing, they just drastically slow down in growth after a certain age. The majority of its growth will be during the first 18 months though.

+1 Noticeable girth growth it seems continues for a while even after length growth appears to stop.

On the ones that I have grown out I notice a slow down around 15-18 months but they thicken up at that time and put some girth to the roundness till around 18-24 months. After that I don't really notice any more significant "growth".

thanks for the info. I notice my discus I got when they were 2.5/3" now is about 5" to 6". Not sure if they can get any bigger. However, I also heard that the growth also depends on genetic. For the first few months, my red snake skin grew a lot faster than the rest.
