Last night I noticed that my same two discus were getting frisky with each other. This time they moved 8" and decided that the intake of my Rena XP2 was a better choice than the intake of an AC70.

I turned off the filters while the male was doing his thing. Today almost all of the eggs are brown and about eight are bright white. Last time I checked it seemed like a few of the bright white ones had been removed.

The Bolivian Ram hung around for a while until the female chased her away.

Thanks. The eggs were gone the next day. I am not sure if the Discus are doing it or another fish in the tank. I have a bristlenose pleco and a rubbernose pleco, two Bolivian Rams and some cory cats.

Most likely the rams by the look in the picture you posted.

Ha. I don't think that is the case because the discus really keep guard and don't let the rams anywhere near the eggs. Even when I throw in beefheart one of the parents will stay by the eggs and wait.

I did find a tetra torn in half after the first time they laid eggs.
