Wow that's amazing. Pretty neat how you can manipulate the focus point AFTER you've taken the pic. Awesome! I wonder what the camera will look like, and how much it will cost!

Here is the publication on the subject. You can see a picture of the camera that was used. Looks like a modified DSLR.

Here is an article on Lytro. $50mil backing.. they must think there is a market for this.

That's really impressive. My only concern is image quality. The samples on their website show pretty low-res images. I wonder if image quality suffers as a result of this technology.

I believe that's is going to be the knock on this type of camera. It's certainly going to change the way a picture is view. The popular of 3-D..
