I've had the parents for about 1 month now, they're looking great and just layed eggs this morning :-)
I'd really like to do things wright and this is my first time. So a few questions:

Do I do the regular water change, if not how do I clean the tank, and when do I start doing water changes again.

Should I feed them as often as I use to or just once a day and what is best?

Thanks and sorry for all the newbie questions!!!

Congrats!

Sure you can feed them, i would make it a light feeding to not foul the water, and do a partial water change. Are they in thier own tank? Put a pic up here so we can see them : )

I continue wc's with exact water, feed lightly vacuum excess asap, make no changes.
when they free swim if temp is around 84 I raise it slowly to 86. If you have a black sponge filter or any thing dark in the tank I wrap it with something white like filter fabric, sock etc they may be attracted to dark things and not go to the parents. When they start free swimming lower the water to a few inches over the parents head sometimes help them find the parents.
Good luck with them!

LOL You can increase your post count by looking for pics of discus people have posted that you like, and tell 'em! Sorry your eggs were eaten. They probably weren't fertile. No problem - they'll lay again before you know it. In the meantime, this gives you a bit of breathing space to plot, plan and read. I do wc's as usual and feed as much as they will eat. If the pair are not in their own tank, it's time to move them.

thanks for the info...
Indeed they layed eggs just 2days ago but same deal, they've eaten all the eggs again. This time I've put some Meth blue (the guy that sold the pair to us advise us to) so like you said probably weren't fertile. But they look after them so well during those 2 days, both mum and dad alternatively. Anything that I can?
They are in their own tank, about 160L, 2 heaters to make sure the temperature doesn't change much especially on cold night, sponge filter and turn the air bubbles down when I see them cleaning the cone... the KH is 40ppm at the most and PH 6.8 ( maybe that is the problem, what to do???)
Also mi water is all blue with that meth Blue staff... is it gonna get back to normal with the water changes? and is it ok for the pair?
thanks for the help... Love this forum, learning so much everyday!
