It looks like a red turk. The face reminds me of Kenny/Forest fish.

Is that Discus wild ?

That's what I'm wondering....doesn't look to be but if it is that is one amazing wild blue.

It's a nice looking fish, but it's not a wild fish. It has no black ring and it's dorsal and anal fins are to high or long.

Hello,
It's no red Turkish, although this photo may seem.

Pachi,

I don't think its the coloration that's throwing most of us off here.....I've seen some very high quality Royal Blues especially from Manacapuru, the amount of red can increase if fed high carotenoid diet. The problem I see is having been experienced with wilds for many years, the fins do not look to be from wild..especially the tail fin.

Almost all wild fish have been chewed on by some sort of fin nipper (piranhas, silver dollars, etc) during their whole life and do not have perfect fin shapes and patterns. Your fish exhibits perfect fins, especially the tail or caudal fin. I've never had a wild, even smaller sized ones, ship in without some sort of deformity in the tail fin. Usually there will be crooked rays in the fin, mis-shapen tail fin, etc.

Your fish looks to be either and F1 or F2, but definitely not a fish from the wild.

Not a wild to my eyes either.

wild or not still a nice discus, I very much like photo 1 in post #1. The redness on the pelvic fin is amazing, nice colours overall and body shape is good.
