What strain of discus should I get??

Hello All!

I am finally going to order my discus in about a week from Hans! And of course I am still undecided on which strain I should get. From the beginning I wanted a strain that looked like a Wild discus, like Alenquer and I would like to stick to this. Also I will be getting six 4" discus.

I have a few ideas in mind. 1.) To get six Alenquer or Santarem. 2.) Get three Alenquer and three Santarem. And # 3.) Get two Tefe, two Alenquer, and two Santarem??

Any thoughts and ideas of other strains would be appreciated! :)

No wilds here! Not ready for that yet! They will be all Stendker's.

I would get 6 tefes,they are sweet. A tank full of the same fish just looks better than a mix JMO

I agree.

I would get all Tefe's but they are too much money compared to the Alenquer and Santarem.

Brad.. its not the last time you will get discus.. just get something.. cuz there will ALWAYS get other fish you want... there is no right answer for you.. nor is there a wrong answer.. but there are some little fish that are waiting to call you pappi!! so hurry up and just do it Baby!!

But seriously, you can't go wrong with whatever you chose, those are all nice Hans fish.

After banging my head against my work desk for the past 2 days, I think I am going to go with 6 Santarem's.

Seems like I have been preparing for this moment for sooooo long and you would think that I would have decided a long time ago instead of waiting 2 days before I order them :p

I have Alenquer and Santarem from Hans and I like my Santarem a little better. But either way you go they all look great.

Will be getting them next Wednesday (July 6th) b/c that is my next day off besides the holiday. Really excited about it. I keep on looking at my tank and picturing them there :p
