? My tank water pH is the same as my aged water pH. The tank water can change over time due to several factors, but most discus keepers do water changes so frequently that it doesn't come into play. Did you mean the difference in tap pH and aged pH? (7.5 - 8.2)

I think this is an interesting question in the context of what is being asked.
Personally I am in the camp of a stable ph that stays consistent with each water change.
But I am also curious as to what other people keep their ph at with their discus.
For me it is 7.1 to 7.3 on city water with a minimal aging drop.

I us micro siemens as a guide. occasionally I check ph
wild greens are 250cm ph about 7.0
wild reds 375cm ph about 7.4+ and grow outs/domestics 675+-cm ph about 7.8 - 8.0

Have had it as high as 9.0..currently use a 50/50 mix of tap/ro and now run it at 8.0.

I would have left it at 9.0 but the hard water runs havoc on my heaters. In addition, the calcification on the top of my tank was a real headache to keep clean.
