Aside from fish and landscape photography, I also take lots of pics of my friend's kids (don't have any of our own yet!). Here's some recent ones that I really like. Enjoy!

Great shots Jose.

I would hire you on the spot if I ever get married again. Not that I'm single but we will wait and see what happens with more tanks set-up and years of Discus keeping. I'll keep you posted my friend.

Jose,
Those are great shots! what kind of flash are you using? I can just barely see it in their eyes.

Thanks Ralph! Never shot a wedding, that would make me nervous lol! Not sure if I'd venture into that business, would been fun to try though :)

Thanks Al! I have two speedlights in my kit, the Nikon SB-900 and SB-600. Most of the time I'm using the SB-900 as a bounce flash. I do have several soft boxes and umbrellas that I'll use when doing a more formal shoot. The first 3 pics for example, were simply direct flash with a diffuser cap over the flash head.

Jose,
Today was one of those days that would qualify for the stone pile, not the diamond pile.
These kid pictures brought a smile to my face.
I am a big fan of all the photographs you post on this site.
You are one gifted son of a gun.

Well, Jose,
I've been complaining for years that my kids have been depriving me of my elderly rights to experience grandfatherhood. Tonight my son calls to say they have TWINS in the oven! Hot Dann! And I'll be posting pics ...
Your pics only encourage me! Thanks for posting. -Don

Such beautiful photos Jose! We got a new camera recently, top of the line and all that but takes a talent to use the darn thing.
You are very talented.

Thanks Barb. And I love your cones. If I ever manage to get discus to breed, I'll be needing some of your wonderful cones :)

Thanks Steve! It sure does take a lot of work. Once you learn the basic manual settings like aperture, ISO and shutter speed, then comes the intense world of lighting. Lighting is one of the hardest things to learn. I'm always learning new techniques, using on and off-camera flash.

congrad Don,

Thanks!
