Getting worse - now in QT, what should i do?

First photo is a 'pimple' i saw on one of my discus. He was then hanging around the bottom of the tank at an angle.

I was doing daily water changes, but it got worse.

Last night he was hanging around the top of the tank and was going vertical.

I now have him in a QT tank. I have the API pimafix and also melafix. What should i use? What is the optimum temperature for recovery? And am i correct in saying that dosing some salt will also help?

Any idea what it could be? Looks like a scratch now, but started off small!

Higher temp works sometimes but I'd start dosing with furan-2 and keep doing 80% wc daily. I'm not sure what it is but furan is a good start for any open sore. It's about 15 bucks at lfs
