I'm trying to calibrate my heater. This is new style Jager with the red indicator arrow. My tank temp. is currently 82 deg. I unplugged the heater for 30 mins. and then moved the red indicator arrow to 82 (after checking thermometer again to verify tank was still 82 deg.) I plugged the heater back in and move blue temp. dial to 86 deg. Nothing happens. No light turns on and no heat is produced so I go to 89 deg. Still nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Does it come on at all? Sounds like it might be defective.

I can sometimes get it to turn on if I set the temp to 93 deg., but it turns off again a few mins. later. (and not because the water has reached 93 deg.)

Sounds defective to me, I would send it to them and ask for a replacement.

Sounds broken to me. I've done the exact same setup twice and it's been pretty rock solid temperature wise.

Of five finnex titaniums I purchased at 500w apiece this spring, three have shorted out...Good luck, they'll never compare to Jager's overall track rercord..Gary

The vendor I purchased it from has agreed to send me a new one.
