How to tell when there about to spwan?

I assume its the same as angels ? every 2 weeks or so they start nipping and tummys get big and start rubbing there tummys on something?

In my tank the courting normally is shaking their fins, bowing at each other, pecking at something to 'clean' it for their egg laying.

My three pairs all act the same: they get "shivery" , pair off and cruise together, nip at each other a little, chase other fish away from their chosen spawning location (that's often the first thing I notcie-- everyone else has been chased to the other side of the tank) and start cleaning a spot to lay eggs. Mind you, sometimes I miss the signs and don't notice until they're fixated on a plant pot and I see eggs there.

would if i got my pairs separated in 30 gallon tanks can i put them in a 75 gallon tank together or would that be a bad idea ?
