cool. i like the rimless look. i heard acrylics are easy to scratch, what is your experience with that?

from my experience, it's way lighter than glass easy to move around by myself. As far as scratch, it's easier to scratch than glass, just do it with care and especially no kids and don't even let them play with the magnet cleaner. Most of minor scratches will be invisible when you fill in water. it's kinda late, i can't think anything else and will let you know if i come up anything else.

Personally I have always been a little apprehensive about getting into acrylic. I just think I might scratch it too heavily. But just out of curiosity, what kind of lighting system do you have on this particular tank?

Great tank, I love the sand, driftwood and low-tech approach to plants. Ditto.. What lights you using?

I am using odyssey light 36" 4x39w fixtures and currenly using 2 bulbs from each unit 10000K and pink. Couple months later I'll going to try 6700K and pink to compare which one is better.

this is my original post when i had BGA. Hope this will help

I finally upgraded to 180G low light planted tank about a month with pool sand, driftwood, 84F temp, 2 canister filters (xp3 and reaction 45), 2x 36" T5 HO 39W lights (2x 6700K and 4x 10000K) total 234 watts 24" from gravel, 1 power head, 16 discus, 16 cardinals, 2 bn plecos, 1 cory. I am having problem with brown algae. From what i have read, i think it's not fully stable and i have ordered some seachem florish excel on its way

I am using FX5 and Reaction 45. On the FX5, i have to use clear tub (as you see in pic) to spread out water current. There are 11 in there. Few more in my garage, trying to breed but no luck yet.

Sorry if I missed it, did you get your wood locally or did you order it online? I'm trying to hunt down pieces that look similar and am having no luck by my house :(

I got those DW from local store and friend. I went to most of stores around my area that i can think of but could not find one. So i left them my phone number and asked them to call me when they have new shipment. It took awhile though.
