So here's an interesting situation, I've got a blue diamond and yellow diamond pair that are completely fine with each other until after laying eggs. Then the male gets very aggressive towards the female so naturally, I will remove one of them but question is, which one? The male or female? Thanks

This is very urgent as they just laid eggs about 20 minutes ago and I want to separate them ASAP so a prompt response would be helpful. Thanks.

When you say aggressive do you mean just pushing her away or nudging maybe ? Or is he being really mean charging her and running into her hard. They can really hit hard when mad.there is a difference .

If he's being really hard on her, take her out or use a tank divider and separate them.

No, he's nipping at her and chasing her around. She's already starting to show visible signs of being attacked.

Happens, yeah if he's visibly damaging her take her out, make sure the tank your putting her in is disease free or setup a new tank.

I think the best option is a tank divider.

Gotta go to bed, good luck

I put him in my show tank so hopefully this works. I kinda notice that she watches the eggs more closely anyway.

I probably would have left the male in with the eggs......good luck.
