Hi,
I have only had my 2 discus for a few days and have just noticed one is breathing from only one of its gills.....
I have only noticed this about half an hour ago and have been watching closely since, she also started flicking her pelvic fin back and forth very rapidly at one point and was twitching her whole head up and down.
I have had a look around on the net and have found that it is possibly gill flukes. what do you guys reckon?
If it is gill flukes is this contagious to my other discus or should i just move her into a quarentine tank?
also what meds should i be using? she hasnt been doing this for long so i will watch and see before i use treatment.
The water is 6.5ph, 4dgh, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate <5
Thanks for your help,
Charlie
