Ok guys I've got the pump, 29g tank and all fittings to set up my sump and outflow but I'm at a loss. How do you guys set up your sumps for filtration? Different levels ect... I plan to make a clear overflow box and mount onto my glass tank. Do I need to use glass again or can I use acrylic? What do I need to get in order to make my box and mount it to inside of tank? Some silicone, glue?
Thanks

Why don't you just buy a overflow off craigslist or reef central.
I see them on eBay all the time.
People are giving them away.
And the overflow is not as easy to build as it looks like it would be, there is a method to how one is built correctly.
By the time you buy the parts for one you could have purchased a new one that will outperform any homemade one and look ten times better.
At the very least, buy a manufactured overflow.
Been there and done that.

As a matter of fact I have one you can have, just pay the shipping and it's yours.

Appreciate the offer but I've decided to go with canister. The glass people here said its 30$ for each hole to be drilled and they can't guarantee it won't break. A lot of confidence in there own work, I know.
