Substrate?

Hello, New to the forum, but have had Discus for about a year now. Currently my substrate is Pool Filter Sand, and i'm about to be moving my tank to a different room and redoing the whole thing, I'm wanting to change the PFS out for something else maybe a fine gravel. What does everyone have for their substrate?

I had gravel, then sand, for years. Finally went barebottom and wish I'd done it ten years ago!!

Jus to clarify... I painted back and bottom of all,my tanks... They bare bottom but not just clear glass

Besides going BB, I think the best option is pool filter sand (that is what I have). I don´t see a reason to replace sand by other fine gravel. What exactly is your problem with sand?

No problem with the sand, just thinking of giving the tank a different look. I've seen a few with fine gravel and liked the way they looked. I've had good experience with the PFS, just courious as to what everyone else was doing.
