I have 2 that paired up. Only thing is I thought both were possibly females. One is def a female, she's laying eggs, but I'm not sure about the other. Can someone post pics of the male vs female papilla? Thanks

The male in question is a red turq or scribblet. The female is about 6-7", the fastest grower in the tank. The male in question had previous problems. He has great coloring and pattern, but is a little stunted, about 5" and is just starting to grow again. Does anyone know if the red pigeon is 100% pigeon. I'm guessing no due to almost no peppering. If the spawn is successful I'm gonna move then into their own bb tank and get a cone.... Im guessing cause mom has almost no pepper, then the fry will have that trait? Or can the fry become heavily peppered?

Wow, thanks that's awesome!
Really? Why will the babies be heavily peppered if mom has only a few spots?

Most eggs turned white, some turned amber, most grew fungus... I'm gonna put the pair in a 29g... Well see if any hatch... Is it the norm to use m. blue to prevent the fungus? Or is there another issue? And can I use quick cure next time cause it has m. blue?
