Hey guys,

Yesterday night I went to my local fish shop and bought some rumbies and albino bushy nose pelco. I know rumbies will do ok with discus but does anyone had bad experience with my pelco? Also, I am planning to get a baby angel fish as a tank make but not really sure it's suitable with discus or not. Any thought or comment on my choices?

Thanks in advance,
KoKo

if you get the bristle nose pleco they stay kinda small so i think there better. i have read good things about them. i have 3 in my 75 gallon and there great fish that get along just fine with my 6 discus. some put angels with discus some do not. i would not as they are faster eaters and some say they transmit a pathagen to discus. your choice i guess. they just hog more room that your discus could use.lol. :)

Really depends on the temp your tank is at but most tetras, angelfish and rams do well with discus.

When i had a pleco in with discus, i noticed it created large ammounts of waste. Because of this it was traded for a black ghost knifefish. The knifefish eats all excess food in the tank the discus miss and performs a vital role in keeping the tank clean. Dont get me wrong, plecos are lovely...heck, do whatever you like the best.
