Hi all. I have glass tops on my 125 gallon and of course a huge light on top. My tank has two braces, so I have three glass tops. I did a normal water change one day (last year) and left the light on while I did the maintenance as I have always done with all my tanks, but as the water level lowered a glass top cracked. Couple water changes later, the same thing happened to the 2nd glass top. However, it has never happened to the third top and its been a year. I want to finally replace the first two cracked ones, but am wondering why the cracks happened in the first place. I assume something about the heat from the light.. I dunno. I just don't want to invest in new tops and have it happen again. Any thoughts?
